It shares all the benefits of the worldwide Windows ecosystem including the ability to use the same familiar development and management tools used for your enterprise PCs and laptops. Consumer features such as the Windows Store, and in-box consumer applications are not included in this edition. Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 uses cases where functionality and features remain constant for the life of the device. Examples are devices that require regulatory certification or devices that perform a critical business function using the same operating system version over several years. These devices are typically found in industries including, but not limited to, banking, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing and retail. We designed Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC with these use cases in mind. We support each Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC release for 10 years, and ensure that features and functionality don’t change over the course of that 10-year lifecycle. Features in Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 are similar to Windows 11, version 24H2. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 is inteded for special purpose, fixed function devices. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 continues to offer a 10-year support lifecycle, which includes quality updates distributed via Windows Update monthly. Upgrading from one version of Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC to the next version requires a new license. If your device came preinstalled with a previous version of Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC, contact your device maker to see if they offer upgrades for your device. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 is now available for OEMs building new devices, enterprise customers upgrading existing system.
